At the Coliseum, June 1, 1991

Oh, the hours I've spent inside the Coliseum
Dodging lions and wastin' time
Oh, those mighty kings of the jungle, I could hardly stand to see 'em
Yes, it sure has been a long, hard climb   ---- bobby z

The Dead played the nearly 100,000 seat LA Coliseum once on June 1, 1991 and it wasn't a blockbuster drawing only about a half-house of 45,000, still a top-5 grossing shows of 1991.  RFK, two at Giants, and Soldiers in Chicago all drew more fans and grossed more. This was the only 100,000 seat venue the Dead played between JFK in Philly (congrad Eagles ) in 1989 and Franklin's in 1994.

This wasn't considered a dynamite show like many in part of 1991 (how could it be, downtown in LA in the heat at the echo chamber), but alot more like the June 91 digital SBD recording here.

We also found some interesting local so cal coverage of the show. Have fun with this little one-off show.  Lots on interaction with the LAPD it appears described by fans
